Tawheed

• The foundation of Islam is Tawheed (to single out Allah alone for worship). The greatest sin is to make shirk with Allah (i.e. to share the worship of Allah with others) The Muslims believes thatAllah is the only one true Lord of All creation. Allah is the Lord of all that exist, the only Creator, the only Sustainer, the only King, the only one who possess Knowledge of the Unseen, the only one who gives life and causes death, and who manages the affairs of creation alone.

• The Muslims believes that Allah does not have any partners in His names and attributes. He also believes that Allah is not born of anyone nor does he give birth. Nothing is comparable to Him in His essence, His actions and His names and attributes.

• The Muslims firmly believes that all worship should be directed to Allah alone. He does not prostrate to, or sacrifice for other than Allah. He does not supplicate to anyone other than Allah, no matter how pious or righteous the person may be, indeed no one other than Allah, has the power to benefit or harm. Therefore it is prohibited to seek refuge, protection or help from Prophets, Angels, Saints, Fortunetellers, birds, charms, amulets, stars, planets, anything or anyone else. The Muslim must not perform any deeds of worship to gain the praise and compliments of others, nor can he abandon the laws of Allah for the laws of mankind. He does not believe that the law of man are equal to the Laws of Allah, and he does not swear (bear witness) by other than Allah. He does not name himself or other with names that show servitude to other than Allah alone, such as "The Slave of the Prophet" or "The Slave of Hussain".
