The Excellency of Learning Islam

Allah has created you to worship Him Alone, as Allah, the Glorified, says, “And I created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone). I seek not any provision from them nor do I ask that they should feed me. Verily, Allah is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong” (V.56-5:51).

Hence in order to worship Allah (in the manner He wants), it is essential that you must learn the teachings He has legislated.

It is obligatory that you learn about Islam, which you have adopted as a religion, in order to answer whosoever may ask you the question, “Why did you choose Islam as your religion?”

In order to provoke desire in others to embrace Islam, it is essential that you learn Islam and understand it more.

You are very privileged in the sight of Allah when you become more knowledgeable and cognizant about Allah's religion: Islam. Your Prophet, may Allah exalt him, says, "If Allah wants to do good to a person, He makes him comprehend the religion", (Bukhari). The Prophet also gave us this good tiding, he said "Allah will make easy a path to Paradise for him/her who pursues a path to seek religious knowledge", (Muslim).
